How To Dominate Your Niche
Do what the guys making the money in the toughest niches are doing. Not what the “gurus” making money selling you “how to make money in IM” are telling you. Remember, those who can’t, teach.
Good luck!
I’m no SEO guru and have no desire to be. However I make my living doing Organic SEO Affiliate work. I’m not going to sit here and tell you what to do or make suggestions. Because here’s what I believe. To be a good seo it’s not about listening to guru’s or people that think they know everything. The best thing you can do is see what’s ranking and learn what they’re doing.
The better you become at looking at what other sites are doing and understanding what they’re doing the better at organic seo you’ll become.
Copy what the guys ranking for ringtones, finance, drugs, poker and porn [are doing]. If you can copy them you’ll have success. These are the best in the business and the hardest most lucrative terms to rank for. Take these ideas and strategies and apply them to smaller niches and you’ll own those niches and keywords easy.
In my humble opinion half of the “self proclaimed” seo’s out there don’t know s**t. I’ve seen wrong and totally untrue things published and backed up a lot of times and all the newbies take it as truth.
Also I suggest you don’t take what Matt Cutt’s says as facts, he says what is the best PC answer that Google wants you to think. This guy is being watched by every seo, major online corporation, stock holders and so on. He says the “write” answer always.
Just my 2 cents.

Hopefully someday we will spend more time creating great content than doing backlinks, but for now we dance to Google’s tune.

Studying the big guys seems to be better way of learning than reading all those cheap ebooks. Making money online seems to be more of an art than science.

I love this post Maki. What i’ve found is another way to stay ahead in your niche is to give away freebies. If your selling a product give away a sub product or develop something just to give away for free.
If it’s a website, give away a free gift or do a raffle.
It will build reputation and soon visitors will only focus on you.

You’re right about the latent semantic indexing. Well written copy is going to have alternative keywords in it anyway. Keyword stuffing, however, is a risky practice because if you go over a certain threshold, Google will kick your butt for it. I analyze the top five placing websites for my keywords to determine their keyword ratios and use that information to optimize my blog posts and articles. It works extremely well. I wrote a manual where I explain exactly how I do it. SEO Manual

Great article. The fact is that keyword stuffing works as well now as it did 10 years ago, you just do it a little differently. If you write halfway decent content the LSI nonsense takes care of itself. Want to rank? Stuff keywords and get backlinks.
