The Best Spinner | Best Article Spinner Review

The Best Spinner is hands down, the best article spinner on the planet right now. I know. Sounds like some outrageous BS claim. I don’t care what it sounds like. It’s true. Here’s why.
I got an affiliate link sent to me by some Internet Marketer and watched the video on how this article spinner works. Before the video was over, I plunked down the $77 (you can try the software for just $7 for a week) to get this content spinning software. And I’m the cheapest son of a gun on the planet. I don’t buy anything unless it really impresses the heck out of me. Or I really, really need it. I needed this article spinner and in a minute, you’ll know just how much it impressed me.
Rather than just review it, I’m going to tell you everything I learned about The Best Spinner from the videos and personal use and you can make up your own mind. Here’s how the best article spinner works…
Copy & paste your raw article into The Best Spinner. Click “Indentify Synonyms” at the bottom of the screen. This will find all the words in the article that already have synonyms in the spinners database. Any underlined phrases also have synonyms available for the phrase. Any italicized words left on the page do not have any synonyms in the spinning database.
Click on any word or phrase you want to find synonyms for. It will highlight the word or phrase and open a synonym finder box. The arrows at the bottom of the software screen or in the bottom of the synonym box will jump you from word to word or phrase. Or you can use Tab to go forwards or Shift-Tab to go backwards in the article spinner.
When the Synonym Window opens, simply click to highlight the words you want to use. Then hit Tab or the arrow key to move to the next word you want synonyms for. The software will inject the synonyms for the last word or phrase into the article. You can also un-select certain synonyms you’ve chosen by clicking on the highlighted word in the window.
Suppose you want to use the same set of synonyms throughout the article for a particular phrase. Simply hit the Replace All button and it will use those synonyms throughout the article anywhere that word or phrase appears.
If you don’t like the synonyms available for a particular phrase, simply hit tab or the arrow key to jump to each word in the phrase and replace them individually.
Once you’ve gone through the entire article, you can then create a spun article by selecting the Spun Article tab. Then hit the “New Spin” button at the bottom of the software to get a new version.
If you hit the big “X” at the top of the interface, it gives you the option to generate as many spun articles as you wish up to 100 versions. It creates the spun articles as plain text documents and puts them in a zip file.
Replace My Favorites icon
If you have certain synonyms you like to use regularly when you spin articles, you can put them in your favorites. So when you start a new article, you can hit Replace my Favorites and it will automatically insert those into your article. You can add to Favorites by simply selecting any word and highlighting the synonyms of your choice in the window. Then click “Save As Favorites.”
Note: At the top of the page it shows the approximate word count and the percent of uniqueness so you can keep track of your progress and decide when you’ve reached the level of uniqueness you want. Then it’s time to spin articles.
Let’s look at some of the other article spinner tools…
Manage Favorites icon
Lets you manage your synonyms Favorites, create new ones, or just modify the existing ones. If you’re spinning an article and the synonyms you’re using for a particular word are ones you expect to use again, just add that group of synonyms to your Favorites. Then every time you come to that word again, you can just grab the synonyms from your Favorites.
Replace Everyone’s Favorites icon
Here’s something you won’t see on other content spinners. This icon gives you access to every subscriber’s Favorites and will automatically inject everyone’s favorites into your article giving you a big head start. This also has a “quality level” drop-down menu that lets you choose the Favorites quality from Good to Best. The lower the quality, the more synonyms you’ll get. The higher the quality, the fewer. Always read through your article to remove any “Favorites” synonyms that don’t make sense. Simply hold down the Control key and click the synonym that doesn’t make sense and it will be removed.
If you just need to spin one new article from an existing one
Click the first word to get started. When the synonym box opens, check the “Replace” box. Then when you pick on a synonym in the list, it will replace the word in your article. Just advance through the entire article word by word and you can create an entirely new article.
Taking It to the Next Level…
Power User’s Tool – Nested Spin
You aren’t restricted to one level of article spinning. You can have as many levels of article spinning nested inside each sentence or paragraph as you want. First, highlight an entire sentence or paragraph. Type in your alternate sentence or paragraph in the “Add” box and hit Add. Your first nested level will appear in blue. Then hit “Identify Synonyms” and it shows which words or phrases have synonyms. Simply start choosing synonyms.
These synonyms will show up as green since they are the next level of article spinning. In other words, the “spin within the spin” or nested spin. You can have as many nested spin levels as you wish but only the first four will show up as a different color. The third level is red and the fourth and final level is orange.
The big black curved arrow at the top of the interface lets you export your content to any other article spinner format since not all article spinners use the same format. This is in case you have another article spinner you want to run the article through.
Between article spinner software I owned and article spinners I subscribed to online, I had five different article spinners I was using to get all the features I wanted depending on the article subject or the client. Now, with The Best Spinner, I just have one. Check out the video which pretty much shows you everything I just told you about and see if you don’t click the “Buy Now” button before the video is over. I did.

Very informative article – I’m very tempted to check out the $7 one week version. I’ve heard people talking about the various Spinner programs, but most of my experience has been with horridly spun articles that I ran into on article directories. The ability to actually pick and chose synonyms sounds like it would take care of many of the issues.
Of course, I may have been reading well spun articles and not noticed (I guess that’s the idea)!

UPDATE TO SOFTWARE!! New Spin Groups functionality. The standard drop-down list of synonyms will now contain pre-selected groups of popular synonyms in addition to the normal list of synonyms. When you select one of these groups, the whole group is added to the spin instead of just the one. Groups are not available for all words and phrases, but are available for a large number of them. This functionality can be disabled in the Settings and Options menu by unchecking the “Include Spin Groups in the synonyms list” checkbox.

Well I finally crafted a work around that allows the scroll-wheel to work for scrolling the synonyms list in The Best Spinner. This may not seem like a big deal at first, but it really is.
It makes scrolling down the list of synonyms MUCH faster because you don’t have to use the scroll bars — just roll the wheel on your mouse.

Due to the awesome feedback and ideas generated from version 2.5′s ability to locate the word/phrase you click on in the Spun Article tab in the Article tab, I’ve modified the way things work a bit in version 2.51.
Now, instead of taking you to the Article tab when you click on a word/phrase in the Spun Article tab, it will instead show the synonyms drop-down directly below the word/phrase you clicked on — right in the Spun Article tab. You can then make the changes you want to and keep reading your spun article to check for additional needed changes. Makes things much faster.
However, if you DO want to find the word/phrase in the Article tab (which is still needed sometimes for some nested spins or if you’re just needing to look at the context), just hold down the ALT key when you click on the word/phrase. Holding ALT will locate the word/phrase in the Article tab as in version 2.5.

Version 2.5 makes it MUCH easier to correct poor synonym selection.

Prior to version 2.5, a user would typically click on the Spun Article tab and start to read through the spun version to see if there were any synonyms chosen that don’t fit in properly. Once a poor synonym was found, the user then had the arduous task of finding where in the Article tab that particular synonym appeared so that it can be removed. This was a very tedious task, especially with nested spins.
However, as of version 2.5, when you click on the Spun Article tab, as hover your mouse over the words/phrases in the spun article you will see them highlighted. Clicking on a highlighted word/phrase will take you back to the Article tab to where the offending word/phrase is found within the text. The synonym list is visible automatically so you can quickly remove a word/phrase that doesn’t make sense.
Words that do not appear inside spintax in the Article tab are italicized in the Spun Article tab and are not clickable in this way.

I will be using both TBS and MAR, right now on MAR more though. MAR has a feature to also replace all synonyms. Let’s face it with any spinner you will have to edit sentences. I hope people do not think it is a 1-click solution. You need to really vary the word count dramatically by having some versions include paragraphs, bullets, numbers, subheadings etc. A spun article with 423 words against the same spun version with 435 words and synonyms……uhh Google has caught up to this ladies and gents. It really needs to be more than that more like the spun versions being 413 words (say 4 paragraphs) and another spun version being 523 (5 or 6 paragraphs). Since it is the most popular I hope this is being conveyed.

@Tony – yes, Tony, here’s the really big difference. If you notice in this review or in the free manual, there’s a button called Replace Everyone’s Favorites. When you hit that button, it asks you whether you want Good, Better or Best. I alway choose Best because it uses the synonyms that are, well, best. Then you tell it how many synonyms you want it to use. I usually go with five. The Best Spinner then goes through my entire article and adds the five best synonyms to every synonym in my article. That means that a huge portion of my article spinning is already automatically done for me. if you do a lot of article spinning, that is a HUGE time saver.

I’ve been using Magic Article Rewriter. It’s ok but would like something better if it is out there. I am not sure what separates Best Spinner from the others though besides this synonyms database. Is there anything else?
I’m not sure I see how this synonyms database can make that much of a difference. My current spinner has one, although it is not being constantly updated. Does that really make so much difference? I am offered a lot of synonyms the way it is.
Rewriting sentences it the most time consuming part. Does Best Spinner make much of a difference with that?

Yes! That’s the amazing thing about an article spinner that’s a subscription. As more people use it, the thesaurus gets bigger so every time I go to spin an article, I have more synonym choices. It’s amazing!

It’s called WP Comment Auto Responder and it’s free. I found it by accident, tried it, and it works flawlessly. I highly recommend it.

Yes it does. That way the thesaurus is constantly growing and every time you use it, there are more synonym options to choose from. It’s amazing!

I don’t think this software has sold for $47 for a long time, certainly not in the month of August when you did this review. But you are correct it is a brilliant product. The genius of an open source thesaurus took what was a brilliant competing product – Magic Article Rewriter – and tossed it into the garbage. The creator of MAR is so crushed that he has given up for the moment and stopped developing the product to concentrate on his new Magic Submitter. He said he has an open source thesaurus in the works that will release in about 6 months. 6 months? I almost fell out of my chair laughing. The guy is crushed. Anyone reading this: DO NOT BUY MAGIC ARTICLE REWRITER, BUT THE BEST SPINNER. That is, if you want the best.

It was $47 a year when I bought it and did the review. The price went up. However, it is still a steal at that price. If you read the review and the comment updates, you know there’s simply not a better article spinner out there. $77 a year is peanuts for a tool that can seriously help you make a lot of money.

ok. so I keep reading about the best article spinner by ledger. haven’t picked it up yet, but I’m just about over the edge…
Ive bee using another spinner, called spinningwizard.com
the thought just donned on me after reading through all the posts…
if i were to pick up best spinner, I’d use it in conjunction with the spinner I’m already using…
Both in tandem would be awesome. spin a unique set of articles with best spinner and then take a unique article over to spinningwizard.com and convert it over to a press release, blog, web 2, pod cast, video, etc.
then you could blast a bunch of articles, a bunch of press release, a bunch of… you get the idea.
the thought of this is crazy….

New update to The Best Spinner let’s you design your “spun” articles to pass Copyscape rather than working to make them as unique as possible. Big time saver. Check it out!
In version 2.41, The Best Spinner now makes it much easier to do as little work as possible in order to create a Copyscape passable article. This is accomplished with a new drop-down box on the “Auto-Select Synonyms” dialog box. (Auto-Select Synonyms is the light bulb icon, and it causes TBS to automatically select the top X synonyms for the words and/or phrases in the article that appear in the thesaurus.)
Prior to version 2.4, auto-select synonyms always auto-selected the top synonyms for every word or phrase in the article. While this is great to maximize uniqueness, it’s overkill for getting an article to pass Copyscape. As I’ve said, you only need to change every fourth word to pass Copyscape.
To recap, in order to get an article to pass Copyscape, simply:
1. Open the plain-text, unmodified article in The Best Spinner.
2. Click the Auto-Select Synonyms icon (the light bulb).
3. Select at least “Every Fourth Word/Phrase” as the frequency.
4. Click the “Auto Select” button.
5. Click the “Remove Original Word From All Spins” icon (the magic wand icon to the right of the paint brush icon).
6. Remove any synonyms from the spins that don’t make sense in the article.
Voila! Six easy steps to a Copyscape passable article.

@daily blog news – Not sure what you mean by “unlimited” version. There is no trial version. Anyone who signs up gets the full version. And it’s only, if I remember correctly, $40 for a years’ subscription. Did you download my free manual I created for the software? It should explain there’s only one version and everything it does.

Latest update to The Best Spinner:
Version 2.36 of The Best Spinner adds a new tab, “Flat Spin”, which converts the document from the Article tab into a single-level spin formatted document.
This is useful for tools that do not support nested spinning.
Instead of having to create a new document for use with those tools, you can simply click on the “Flat Spin” tab and copy a “flat”
(single-spin level) version of your nested spin document to the windows clipboard.

Latest news about article spinner The Best Spinner:
A number of users requested the ability to organize their favorites into categories in The Best Spinner. This would allow you to be able to replace a custom set of favorites based on the subject matter of your article.
Say you wrote an article on Weight Loss, you could then replace only the terms you have in your Weight Loss category of favorites. If you then wrote an article on Search Engine Optimization, you could replace only the terms you have in your SEO category of favorites, etc.
This makes cleanup much faster, since you don’t have to remove synonyms that don’t make since in a specific category or subject area.
This feature has been added in version 2.32 of The Best Spinner.

Hey Rob! Thanks for the kind words. Just so you know, you can easily get 100% with The Best Spinner by spinning whole sentences and whole paragraphs (and then going through and editing those with synonyms).
Another neat trick they just added to The Best Spinner is Copyscape checking.
Here’s how Jonathan Ledger put it in his email:
In version 2.30 of The Best Spinner I’ve added the ability to check your spun articles against Copyscape to see whether or not the search engines are likely to see your spun article as unique.
He sent that on 5-26-2010. It’s now 5-28 and he’s already updated the version again with Categorization Of Favorites. I love that this article spinner keeps getting updated almost weekly with new features!

Spinning paragraphs, otherwise known as article mixing is great, but it sounds like this is better. I already have an article mixing program that I got free. It even has a synonym feature, but I never use it because it takes too long. This product sounds magical and I appreciate how you described it in detail. If I decide to buy it, I will definitely do so through your link. You deserve the commission. Thanks for an informatiive article!

Spinning articles, as you probably know, is the substitution of words, phrases, sentences, or paragraphs within an article for the sole purpose of creating multiple copies of the same article. The best way to spin articles though is by paragraphs as this will help you create articles that will end up being 70%+ in uniqueness.
